James has sounded the shofar at Christ for the Nations, The Potter’s House, Gateway Church, Park Cities Presbyterian Dallas, Whites Chapel UMC, Museum of Biblical Art, Dallas Convention Center, Operation Care International Galas and Events, The Fellowship Network International Conference, Victory Bible Church Courts of Heaven Conference, Relaunch Spiritual Warfare Conference, and Gateway Conference.
James also teaches about and sounds the shofar at churches across the United States. He shares how the shofar (the trumpet of the bible) is not only a vital part of God’s incredible story of redemption but also very relevant in today’s world.

This is from June Mission 2025 in New York City. James and his friend Sang spent the day in Manhattan NY interceding, praying over people and places, and James sounding the shofar in major places like the Empire State Building and Times Square. There were many great spiritual conversations that day!
This is a very special Maundy Thursday service that James sounds the shofar for each year. This is at the historic Park Cities Presbyterian Church in Dallas, TX. It incorporates powerful music and word to commemorate the very critical time around the great Passion of Christ. The sounding of the shofar comes toward the end when the last words of Christ are spoken and there is musical interlude between each. The shofar expresses the pain of the moment and the coming triumph of Christ.

Shofar Workshops Shofar Course
James has developed a special shofar workshop curriculum that incorporates the biblical use of the shofar, learning about how to develop and curate the heart of a shofar sounder; and practical teaching on how to sound the shofar.
James offers a unique perspective with his 25+ years of teaching experience teaching brass instruments to all ages and levels. He also has a long career of musical performance as a trumpet performer and shofar sounder that adds experience and character to his shofar workshops and master classes.
James leads shofar workshops both in-person & online. He has a regular schedule of workshops in the Dallas, TX area & also leads these workshops at locations around the country.
James has created an online shofar course that will be going live in the Fall of 2025.
